Quotes to live by:
We have so much to celebrate!! There is a permanent party rocking the Universe! We are all standing on one giant revolving dance floor- get out there and do your thing and do it well! Dance the dance of life, and let your own unique and beautiful rhythm flow. Hey, reckon you can't dance? Did you know that six trillion actions occur in the human body every second, every single one of which is working in correlation with all the others! This infinite organizing power is working for you at any given second, how is that for coordination! All you need is in you. You are already dancing inside now you just let it show!
Lost and Found – Please check the lost and found for anything belonging to you. (Located in dressing room) All items will be taken to goodwill by the 15th of October.
“He, who remains flexible, will not get bent out of shape”
Many people have been asking questions about our Yoga classes. The main question being asked is……..What is Yoga?
Yoga can be any or all of the following, depending on WHY you want to take it and HOW you incorporate Yoga into your life:
1) a great physical fitness program, involving stretching, strengthening, and elongating the spine for proper alignment of the vertebrae
2) breathing techniques and relaxation, lowering blood pressure, increasing cardio-vascular health, increasing lung capacity, releasing tension and stress, and learning to relax and enjoy life
3) Meditation - to calm the mind; bring emotional balance, mental clarity, focus and concentration
Adult Jazz: Beginning Oct. 14th Tuesday 8:30-9:30 p.m.
This class introduces basic jazz vocabulary and fun routines. If you dislike “exercising”, you’ll love jazz. Set to fabulous music, you’ll find this to be a wonderful full-body workout as well as an exciting challenge for the mind.
Attn. parents - keep an eye on your children in the waiting room. Lately there have been a surge of young ones traveling about the studio unsupervised and there have been injuries and vandalism happening as a result of unsupervised children…. Thanks You….JDE Staff
LIVE YOU’RE PASSION: Why We Dance
In a world where instant fame through competitive reality shows and catapult people into the limelight, it has become increasingly difficult and challenging for young dancers to remember why they began a life in dance. You dance because you must – To dance is to live a passion whose dynamic is unmatched. Most of us started dancing almost before we could walk – an internal musical conductor drove our every move. Dance is the conduit through which our soul speaks and is the meter of your choices. In our competitive environment we are so often caught up into that whirlwind which is so counterproductive to creativity and long range thinking.
So please don’t lose sight of the reasons why you dance…the individual spirit behind every Jete, the soul in the fabric of every spinning, whirling series of Pirouettes and the exhilaration of movement that celebrates your individual expression. Live you’re Passion!

Why do people say "break a leg" before a dancer goes on stage?
The dance world is full of superstitions. By saying "break a leg" before a show, people are saying the exact opposite of what they hope will happen on stage. Some dancers have very precise routines for doing their hair or make-up. Others wear certain clothes before a show or keep lucky charms in their dressing rooms or backstage. Before the curtain goes up, some dancers link pinky fingers or step onto the stage with the wrong foot so that when their cue comes, they start the show on the right foot.
Some people seem to think that good dancers are born,
but all the good dancers I have known are taught or trained.
